CIIC members meet An Tánaiste
Ireland’s Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Eamon Gilmore, met with members of the Coalition of Irish Immigration Centers during his recent St Patrick’s Day visit to New York City. The meeting was hosted by the Irish Consulate in New York on March 16; it gave representatives of the Irish community in the US the opportunity to update the new government on a number of issues affecting the Irish in the US.
Among the topics discussed were:
- current immigration trends
- services being provided by the member organisations across the US
- future funding for the member centers.
