Sheila Gleeson is a native of Athy, Co. Kildare and has been Executive Director of the Coalition of Irish Immigration Centers since 2005. Sheila graduated from University College Dublin and after emigrating she completed her MSW at Boston College. She has worked with social service agencies dealing with children, youth and homeless families both in Ireland and the US. Prior to taking up her current position at the Coalition, Sheila workded for ten years providing direct services to immigrants. Sheila and her family immigrated to the US over 20 years ago.
